Women’s Action Group is part of a consortium made up of SRHR Africa Trust (SAT) andKatswe sisterhoodwhich is working towards Unlocking safe spaces for comprehensive SRHR, safe and legal abortions for women and adolescent girls in Zimbabwe (USSCLAZ). The USSCLAZ consortium is implementing a 2-year project that is aimed at promoting access to comprehensive SRHR of women and adolescent girls.
The objective of the consortium is to advocate for comprehensive SRHR services that are responsive to the requirements of women and girls and to influence law reform related to abortion. The project addresses issues of Gender based violence, the causes of unsafe abortion and high maternal mortality, sexual health of young people and girls and challenges stigma, discrimination, attitudes and laws.
The strategy used by USSCLAZ consortium is to create a movement of activists thatspeak out on the importance of women and adolescents' access to Sexual Reproductive Health, safe and legal abortion services.
